Kate Beckinsale wears 10-inch platform boots and no pants to ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’
Kate Beckinsale soared to new heights on her way to “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” on Monday night.
Spotted walking into the Los Angeles studio, the actress wore an embellished red bodysuit with no pants, paired with 10-inch knee-high combat boots and a long fur coat.
She was wearing two oversized bows in her hair — one black satin and one red leather — and multiple gold chandelier earrings in each ear.
Forgoing pants altogether allowed her impressive boots to be all the more visible, with unusual features such as five chunky buckles and black spikes. Though currently sold out, they were made by Dolls Kill and are called the “Extreme Appetite for Destruction Platform Boots.”
Though these particular boots are new to Beckinsale’s fans, she is often seen in dangerously high platform heels and boots. This 10″ style, while eye-catching, comes as no surprise.
That said, the height of the latest boots reaches nearly one foot tall, making them one of her highest — if not the highest — pair of platforms we’ve seen her wear in public.
In short, the 52-year-old’s ability to balance on dangerously high heels gives Lady Gaga a run for her money.
Beckinsale appeared on Kimmel’s show wearing a decidedly different look, changing into a purple metallic dress with rosettes along the strapless neckline. She removed the red bow, still wearing the black one, swapping out her earrings for equally statement-making dangly styles.
Beckinsale recently took to Instagram to show off her new tattoo, memorializing her late mother on her arm after she succumbed to cancer back in July.
“If everyone would stop dying, I wouldn’t have so many tattoos,” Beckinsale wrote.
During the interview on “Jimmy Kimmel,” Beckinsale acknowledged the pain of the last few years, citing her daughter’s boyfriend as a light amid the dark.
“We are a very close family,” she shared. “We’ve had a tough couple of years — both my parents passed away within the last few years — and literally the only bright spot in the whole time came from him.”
