Maya Hawke Reveals Dad Ethan Took a Bus From New York to Toronto for Their TIFF Movie Premiere!
Nothing was going to stop Ethan Hawke from being at the TIFF premiere of his new movie Wildcat, not even an incoming hurricane!
The 52-year-old actor, who wrote and directed the new movie Wildcat, walked the red carpet with his daughter Maya Hawke at the premiere on Monday night (September 11) in Tornto, Canada.
Maya stars in the movie and they were joined at the event by co-stars Laura Linney, Philip Ettinger, Rafael Casal, Christine Dye, and Willa Fitzgerald.
While on the red carpet, Maya revealed that Ethan took a bus from New York City all the way to Toronto after flights were canceled because of the weather.
“I had three flights canceled and I was like, ‘I’m not going to miss this because of some airport. So I went to Port Authority and hopped the bus,’” Ethan told People.
When asked if anyone recognized him on the bus, Ethan said, “Nobody cares about anybody else on the bus. And nobody’s comfortable. Nobody cares at all. I just read my book and disappeared in the back.”
