Margot Robbie Wears All-Black Barbie-Inspired Look to Gotham Awards with Husband Tom Ackerley

Robbie and Ackerley produced 'Barbie,' which received one nomination and one tribute at the awards ceremony

Margot Robbie wore another Barbie-inspired look to the Gotham Awards, but one without pink.

The Barbie actress, 33, attended the awards ceremony with her husband, Tom Ackerley, 33, in an all-black look that included a sheer cape.

Robbie's stylist, Andrew Mukamal, shared a photo of the "Black Magic Ensemble" that her latest look draws inspiration from on Instagram. The Oscar nominee has been wearing looks that bring Barbie dolls to life throughout the Barbie press tour that began over the summer.

The Gotham Awards is showing love to Barbie this year. Ryan Gosling is nominated for outstanding supporting performance for his role as Ken. Greta Gerwig will receive the global icon and creator tribute for her work as director of the film.

Ackerley and Robbie are both producers of Barbie, as co-founders of production company LuckyChap Entertainment.

Robbie has often hit the red carpet in Barbie-inspired looks since the film premiered in July. At the world premiere, Robbie and Ackerley — who have been married since 2016 — stepped out in matching black tie.

Robbie wore a sequined black dress, opera gloves and a diamond necklace, replicating a 1960s Barbie doll. Ackerley kept it classic in a black tux.

For the Seoul premiere, the actress channeled ‘80s Day to Night Barbie. Robbie arrived in a hot pink skirt, sparkling top and pink heels.

Later in the night, Robbie beamed in a hot pink suit, pink tie and polka-dot fedora. To set off the look, the actress carried a hot pink handbag and sparkly retro cell phone.

In July, Robbie explained the not-so-subtle approach to Barbie dressing.
“We're finding Barbie references from decades past and just doing it really for the big Barbie fans out there, people who are actually collecting those Barbies. We're hoping to get them excited,” Robbie told PEOPLE exclusively. “We're pairing Barbie references with great designers.”

Barbie scored huge at the box office and received widespread praise from fans and critics alike. At a Barbie Q&A in early November, Gerwig said the acclaim is hard to take in.

"This definitely feels like a moment that I could potentially wake up from and think, 'No, that was a dream,'” Gerwig said.
