Karen Gillan puts on a VERY leggy display in a black mini skirt and leather jacket as she hits the stage at New York Comic Con

Karen Gillan cut a chic figure in a black mini skirt and shirt as she attended the star-studded New York Comic Con event in New York on Saturday.

The actress, 35, looked incredible in the all black ensemble which she paired with an edgy leather jacket as she took to the stage at the Javits Centre where the popular event was held.

She added inches to her frame in a pair of ankle boots with a zip up the centre and accessorised with a pair of huge gold hoop earrings and matching rings.

The Guardians of the Galaxy star styled her long red tresses poker straight and opted for minimal makeup.

She was joined by other cast members of the Marvel franchise to give creators their best advice.

One fan revealed that Karen told the audience to 'Be so, so, so persistent' while Michael Rooker who plays Yondu Udonta in the superhero films joked 'Make sure you get paid.'

Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol.3, sees Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Bradley Cooper, Karen Gillan, Pom Klementieff and Vin Diesel all reunited.

Their newest mission begins as Peter Quill (Pratt) mourns the death of his love Gamora (Saldana) which occurred in The Guardians Of The Galaxy Holiday Special.

As part of the event where comic book fans gather to meet creators, experts, and each other, organisers were charging £85 for an autograph from Karen and £25 and £240 for a 'diamond pass' which included an autograph, standard photoshoot, talk ticket and a gift.

Also in attendance was David Tennant who is about to start rehearsals of The Scottish Play at the Donmar Warehouse in London.

Due to the ongoing SAGA-AFTRA strike, the Scottish actor was unable to discuss many of his current or past projects during his stage talks.

David played the part of Doctor Who from 2005-2010 and returned for a 2015 special.

The actor will once again jump into the Tardis for string of specials to celebrate the series' 60th anniversary this autumn.

Sex Education's Ncuti Gatwa, takes on the role as the Time Lord for series 14 and has promised 'some extraordinary storylines for this season', which is expected to air on Christmas Day.

David and Ncuti both attended the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama, now known as the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.

Karen Gillan is no stranger to Doctor Who and played the Time Lord’s assistant for one year.

The ex-model made her debut appearance in 2010, and became popular with viewers because of her trademark mini-skirts and on-screen chemistry with the then doctor, Matt Smith.
