Hayden appeared on the red carpet as part of the cast promoting the film, in which she reprises her role as Kirby Reed (originating in Scream 4 in 2011; she had also returned in the 2022 Scream).
She wore an all-black look: a silky/satin black mini dress (described in reports as featuring a high neckline or off-shoulder/one-shoulder style in some accounts) under a matching long black blazer, trench-style coat, or overcoat with an asymmetrical/high-low hem. She added sheer black tights, black heels (sometimes noted with straps), and a scarf in some photos. Her blonde hair was styled in a simple/high bun with a middle part and some loose strands framing her face.
She posed for photos, including with co-star Jasmin Savoy Brown.
This was widely reported as her first red carpet appearance since the death of her younger brother, Jansen Panettiere (who died at age 28 from an enlarged heart/cardiomegaly with aortic valve complications; the family had recently confirmed details around that time). Reports described it as occurring roughly two weeks after his death.
It also aligned with her return to acting after a multi-year hiatus focused on personal health (mental, physical, and spiritual). She had actively advocated for Kirby’s return, contacting the filmmakers during production of the prior Scream film.
Earlier that day (or around the premiere period), she appeared on Good Morning America, where she discussed her brother’s death emotionally (placing her hand over her heart and saying he was “right here with me”) and spoke about her character’s trauma resonating with her own experiences, as well as her recovery journey.
